Abseiling is the art of controlled descent. The technique is used when a cliff or slope is too steep and/or dangerous to descend without protection. It's a fun, exhilarating, and very rewarding activity to experience.
Students find an enormous amount of personal satisfaction in overcoming their fear of stepping backwards off a tall object. Not only is abseiling a great personal challenge but it builds cooperation and trust with your belaying partner. The Great Aussie Bush Camp has 2 artificial towers – 5m and 15m.
All students are required to wear harnesses, helmets and safety belay devices.
