Role

An Instructor's primary role is the responsible delivery and facilitation of quality outdoor education programmes to students, young people and corporate clients at any of our three sites.

Instructors will be required to demonstrate a high duty of care to all clients, including the emotional, social, mental and physical welfare of each individual.

Instructors need to be fit, stable individuals as they will be required to keep up with active students for the duration of each program (1-5 days).

Conditions

The instructor position is generally casual in nature. This is in response to client demand on a week to week basis.

Some part-time and full-time positions are available.

A remuneration package will be negotiated with successful applicants according to her/his qualifications and experience and the responsibilities of the position.

Selection Criteria

• Experience in delivering client focussed programs, preferably in the areas of sport and recreation essential.
• High commitment to the development of students and young people essential.
• Well developed interpersonal, customer service and written and oral communication skills essential.
• Ability to work as a team and a commitment to team work desirable.
• Recreational or qualified experience in outdoor pursuits desirable.
