All activities and equipment are inspected at regular intervals throughout the year to ensue our high safety standards are maintained.

Can the kitchen cater for specific dietary needs?

The Great Aussie Bush Camp is aware of the potential allergic reactions some students face if exposed to certain food types and food additives. We are also mindful of the specific needs of different cultural groups. Therefore, we cater for all sorts of dietary requirements including coeliac, vegetarian, Hallal, lactose intolerance, severe allergies and many more.
The Great Aussie Bush Camp camp is nut free. All food prepared and brought onto the premises contains NO NUTS.
Students also have the option of bringing their own food.

What is tent style accommodation?

Our tent accommodations are permanently erected PVC tents with floors, doors, windows and bunk beds. There is lighting outside,throughout the campsites.

Our instructors have undertaken the necessary training required to facilitate all activities.

The closest hospital to The Great Aussie Bush Camp is Bulahdelah which is a 20 minute drive. John Hunter Hospital is in Newcastle which is an hour drive.

Is there a first aid room?

We have a first aid room on site and qualified Occupational First Aid team members.
We have six monthly checks on all our first aid equipment and supplies by an external third party.
